Founded by Jeri Gottlieb, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute's Pastry Arts program, Flour Girl showcases the classic (The Birthday Kid, a "classic yellow cake with chocolate buttercream") as well as the sophisticated (The Little Tart, a lemon cake layered with lemon curd) and the sublime (the Brown Sugar Baby, a chocolate cake with brown sugar buttercream). Old fashioned favorites such as carrot, coconut, banana, gingerbread and peppermint cream cakes are also available. Birthday cookies, in a range of shapes, are also popular.
