A birthday party at Brooklyn's own Dutch colonial farmhouse makes a great experience for kids ages 6 and up. The party consists of one hour of structured and staff-led activity like weaving, toy making or a treasure hunt, followed by a second activity (ice cream making is a perennial favorite).

The party is held in two of the House's rooms, in which tables are set up by House staff. Though meals aren't served, parents are free to provide a birthday cake.

Lefferts Historic House hosts parties for up to 20 children, and parties are held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on weekends.
