Singer/guitarist Alex Mitnick performs a mix of traditional sing-along favorites, African and South American folk songs, and original compositions in his 45-minute concert performance. Mitnick, who's been teaching music to children and performing at parties for about ten years, aims for "a true family music experience," with parents and children getting into the act with dancing, singing, and call-and-response numbers. Mitnick plays the guitar and percussion, and he brings shakers, sticks and scarves for his audience, so that kids can make music, too. For bigger parties, Mitnick's band can join in the fun.
