These interactive mystery tours engage children with drama, clues, and problem solving. Eight or more professional actors (and some mystery writers) act out a scenario, which ends in a murder. Then, under the guidance of the Tour's director/producer, party guests are encouraged to decipher clues and work out whodunit with the help of one of the actors, who acts as detective and leads the investigation. Murders are light on gore and heavy on deductive reasoning puzzles that always lead to one solution. Scenarios like The Case of the Cursed Gems and Magic Can Be Murder (featuring a magic act by one of the performers) are specially designed for children, and the staff works hard to ensure that kids not only unravel the plot, but have fun while doing it.

The entire mystery, including the solution and confrontation of the criminal, generally lasts between two and a half and three hours. If a meal is served, the mystery wll take about three and a half hours.
