Hi! Art founder/director Cyndie Bellen-Berthezene encourages children to explore the arts with various fine arts materials, sound, video, music and dance. Usually parties last about an hour and a half and involve two or three activities, such as improvising to live music, painting and building the always popular candy sculpture. Bellen-Berthezene is proud of the range of topics kids can explore at Hi! Art – parties involve everything from manga to bookmaking to opera. Kids take home what they create.

The parties are for children ages 2-12 and Bellen-Berthezene likes to have one teacher for every six or seven students. A maximum of about 30 children can be accommodated in Hi! Art's Chelsea studio, and parties are led by local artists.

While Hi! Art does not serve food, families are welcome to bring food and cake.
