The Puppetworks, Inc.Short Description: Park Slope's own non-profit The Puppetworks, Inc. produces marionette versions of children's classics and hosts birthday parties on weekends throughout the year. Long Description: The two-person, many-puppet cast performs 45 minute marionette shows based on popular children's stories, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30 p.m., the performers play for a private audience. Up to 50 guests can be accommodated in the 30x50 foot theatre space. Hosts may arrive up to 45 minutes before the performance begins in order to set up, and after the production, the guests have an hour (or more) of party time in the theatre. The space is furnished with mats and benches. Puppetworks staff provides entertainment and helps with clean up; hosts provide everything else. Space fills up quickly so please book about three months in advance. Entertainment: Marionettes Cost: $375 ($400 starting September 2007) for two and a half hours. Misc. Cost: Varies.
