Talking Hands Theatre

Short Description:

These roving handmade puppets travel throughout the tri-state area, performing at parties, schools and more.

Long Description:

Talking Hands founder Anna Sobel is a Fulbright Fellow who studied puppetry in India and now performs with her own cast of hand made, one-of-a-kind puppets.
The show starts with Sobel, accompanied by her guitar, leading the kids in a sing-along. Then it's time for the play. Though Talking Hands produces a number of shows, the current birthday party classic is Kate and the Cake Eating Cat, a comedy about a cat who decides to bake a birthday cake. The show is performed on Talking Hands's own five foot, black curtain stage, and the performance lasts about 20 minutes. Kate and the Cake Eating Cat is perfect for kids ages 3 and up; for younger children, Sobel does a sing along and storytelling performance with the puppets.
Add-ons include a custom-made puppet of the birthday child and a puppet making workshop (for kids ages 4 and up).
